This Wednesday’s topic is:
Current Favorites that Aren’t Books
1.TV: This Is Us
I have quickly fell in love with the TV show, This is Us. It is a family saga that will break your heart, surprise you (especially at the end of episode 1) and inspire you. It goes back and forth between two time lines so you learn bits and pieces about the family as needed. I highly recommend this show. It is available on hulu and that is how I primarily watch the show.
2.TV: Gilmore Girls
I watched Gilmore Girls on Nextflix last year with my daughter before the new episodes were released. I really enjoyed the show, except for season 7. That season had some noticible changes and it lost some of the appeal, but it was still enjoyable. It is a quirky family drama centering around a single mom and her teen daughter living in a small town that I quickly fell in love with. Mostly, I will always have great memories of watching this show with my daughter. It was great to bond with her and make memories while watching a show with two main characters that have such a strong mother/daughter bond. Although, my parenting style is different then what is displayed in the show.
3.Drink: Teapigs Teas
My current tea obsession is Teapigs, especially their English Breakfast Tea. So yummy! Other staples of their teas in my home are their Earl Grey and Spiced Winter Red teas. I’ve also tried some of their tea flavors that I wasn’t sure about. A family favorite of these teas is the Chocolate and Mint Tea. If you are a bit adventerous in your tea drinking, I would highly recommend this one! Teapigs can be found here: Teapigs website
4.Scent: Lancome La Vie Est Belle Perfume
I’m not one to wear perfume very often. In fact, I’m a big fan of the clean notes from the Philosphy Grace fragrances/body washes, etc., Amazing Grace and Pure Grace. They could’ve made this list as well. 😉 However, I was in Sephora with my daughter and I decided to test La Vie Est Belle perfume. I used to wear another one of their perfumes in high school so I was intrigued by this one. I loved it! My kids bought me a big bottle of it for Christmas. 🙂
I learned to crochet through YouTube a few years ago. For awhile, I was obsessed with crocheting. I enjoyed it so much and I was so happy to finally have something crafty that I could do. I love crafting, but often I am unhappy with the results and just give up. Crochet, for me, was different and I was able to pick it up pretty quickly.
I learned how to crochet mostly from Jayda in Stitches . Her YouTube channel is very light-hearted and fun. She posts new tutorials/projects every Friday and I look forward to each and every one.
What are some of your favorites besides books?
…or whatever else makes you happy! 🙂
